English Language Teaching Department

Distinct Programs, Same Goal

The English Language Teaching department aims to connect Taylor students to diverse populations from all around the world through language. Whether you want to teach English to non-native speakers or advance your understanding as a non-English or basic-English speaker, our ESL and TESOL programs will help you pursue the skills you need to meet your goals.

Our two distinct programs, English as a Second Language (ESL) and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), stimulate understanding and collaboration between linguistically and culturally distinct populations, foster effective language education, and advocate for the needs of international visitors and immigrants in the community. ESL and TESOL students pair up to develop better English teaching and speaking skills, broaden their cultural experiences, and increase their marketability nationally and internationally.
